According to the FAQ, file deletes should only be a problem if the webserver is not using the same user account as asterisk. With TrixBox, both processes are ran under the 'asterisk' user account. The voicemail files are owned by asterisk:asterisk and apache is running as asterisk. Hence, this shouldn't be an issue.

However, trying to delete a file still fails with:

Could not delete message
java.lanf.Exception
"/var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default/200/INBOX/msg0041"

Please post the result of the follwing commandline:
"ls -lR /var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default/200"

Please follow the instructions in the FAQ anyway. This will probably solve your problem. It did for other Trixbox users as well.

Have you noticed that the message comes up, saying "could not delete message", but when you refresh the view, the message is deleted anyway?

Thats what I get on my Trixbox setup.

Because it actually does delete the message, I havn't tracked down why the error comes up.

I have the same problem here with Trixbox... any idea on how to fix it?

Did you look at these instructions?See sticky Topic "FAQ: Problems copying and deleting files" above.

Unluckily there is no easier way to accomplish this. The problem is that the php-scripts on webserver need to able to delete the voicemail files. For this they need write access. Now asterisk usually safes them under his userid and let noone else write. You need to change this like described in the FAQ.
